United States President Donald Trump disclosed on Tuesday that Washington will establish two "major" military bases in Greenland, APA reports.
"No US adversary will ever be permitted to establish a military presence in Greenland anymore or make sensitive investments there without our express written approval," Trump stated during his address to the UN General Assembly (UNGA), adding that Washington will "immediately begin the process of developing a large military presence in the appropriate locations."
Moreover, the US president confirmed that he will sign the trilateral security agreement later today with representatives from Denmark and Greenland and added that this deal will also enhance Europe's security, as well as the security of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), claiming that NATO is now "stronger than ever."
