Trump says U.S. has enough nuclear weapons to destroy the world 150 times

The United States possesses a nuclear arsenal powerful enough to destroy the world 150 times, U.S. President Donald Trump said in an interview with CBS News, APA reports.

Trump stated that the U.S. surpasses all other countries in terms of nuclear capability but emphasized the need to manage this power responsibly.

“We have more nuclear weapons than any other country. Serious steps must be taken toward denuclearization. However, the U.S. should not remain the only state refraining from nuclear testing,” Trump noted.

He added that he had discussed this issue with Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“We have enough nuclear weapons to blow up the world 150 times. Russia also has a large arsenal, and China will reach this potential in the coming years,” Trump said.

According to Trump, a complete halt to nuclear testing is not reasonable from the perspective of U.S. national security interests. He stressed that if other countries continue developing and testing their nuclear capabilities, Washington must take adequate measures to maintain its technological superiority.
