A total of 152 U.S. aircraft took part in the operation carried out with the aim of arresting Nicolás Maduro together with his wife, said U.S. President Donald Trump, APA reports.
“This was a complex operation. 152 aircraft and many military personnel participated in this operation. It was magnificent. There were no losses on our side, but unfortunately, many people were killed. Most of those killed were Cuban soldiers. During the operation, the electricity system was brought down in almost all of Venezuela. The only people who had light were those holding candles in their hands,” Trump said.
Speaking about Nicolás Maduro, Trump accused the former president of being responsible for the deaths of millions of people.
“There is their torture chamber in the middle of Caracas,” the U.S. leader claimed.
