The United States will be represented at some level at the meeting of the heads of foreign policy departments of the Group of Twenty (G20) countries in Johannesburg (South Africa), but Washington does not agree with its agenda, said US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, APA reports.
"I think the topic of the G20 meeting itself is not something that we should focus on," he said at a press conference in Santo Domingo, the capital of the Dominican Republic, where he is visiting. "Talks about inclusivity, equality, and things like that. I think we should be focused on things like terrorism, energy security, and real threats to the security of a number of countries." The Secretary of State noted that the American side "will be represented in some form" at the meeting. "But I just won't be there," he stressed.
