Former United States Vice President Mike Pence testified before the grand jury in the January 6 investigation, APA reports citing Teletrader.
The probe is looking into former President Donald Trump's alleged attempts to overturn the results of the 2020 election, including the storming of the Capitol on January 6, 2021. Trump recently lost an appeal seeking to block Pence from testifying.
According to a Politico report, Pence stayed in the he federal courthouse in Washington, D.C. for over five hours. The extent of his testimony is unclear, although he was likely asked about his direct communication with Trump leading up to the Capitol riot, as well as Trump's attempts to pressure him into rejecting to certify Joe Biden's victory following the 2020 presidential election.
