Nine killed in plane crash in Peru: police

Baku-APA. Nine people were killed Wednesday in the crash of a small plane chartered by a small Peruvian mining company in northwestern Peru, local police said, APA reports quoting Xinhua.

All the people on board was killed. And police attributed the accident to bad weather.

"Due to bad weather the plane got caught up in power cables. There are nine dead - the pilot, the copilot and seven others," Roger Torres, police chief of La Libertad region, told local media.

The plane's wreckage was located in a ravine alongside a highway in the northwestern region.
