"The Armenian government tried to arrange a meeting between Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and U.S. President Donald Trump during Pashinyan's visit to Washington but was unable to achieve this," says the article in the "Hraparak" newspaper, APA reports.
It was noted that Armenia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and pro-Armenian senators from the "Republican" party were involved in the process, but all efforts were in vain.
On the other hand, according to the newspaper's claims, most representatives of the Armenian diaspora in the U.S. refused to meet with N. Pashinyan.
Note that on February 4–5, in Washington, the 5th summit of the International Religious Freedom Summit will be held, organized by the U.S. Department of State's Office of International Religious Freedom.
