Commanders who prioritize the US flag over the Colombian flag will be dismissed from their positions, Colombian President Gustavo Petro in a post on the X platform, APA reports.
“If you detain the president whom a large part of my people love and respect, you will see the power of the people,” he noted.
The Colombian leader emphasized that although he has no military background in his career, he understands the nature of warfare well.
According to Petro, the United States is the first country in human history to have bombed a South American capital.
He described this as a very bad example, adding that the peoples of South America will not forget it for centuries.
Recall that U.S. President Donald Trump did not rule out the possibility of a military operation in Colombia.
