Washington –APA. US President-elect Barack Obama set up a transition team to form new administration until his inauguration on January 20, 2009. John Podesta, Valerie Jarrett and Pete Rouse will lead the Obama-Biden Transition Project. The team will determine candidates for the ministerial posts and will plan implementation of the Obama’s pre-election program. The new team will replace the former candidate’s campaign headquarters. 12-member Observation Council will support the Transition Project managers. John Podesta, a former Clinton chief of staff, has been quietly running the Obama operation for months. He would co-chair the transition team with Obama’s longtime adviser Valerie Jarrett and his Senate chief of staff, Pete Rouse. Sources at the Democratic Party said that Obama asked Senator Rahm Emanuel to serve as chief of staff. CIA Director Michel Hayden said Barack Obama would get top-secret CIA briefings daily. He will receive first intelligence briefings on Thursday.
