First polls close in US election

The first polls have closed in the US general elections, with most of Indiana and the eastern part of Kentucky delivering their verdicts in President Barack Obama’s fight for another term.
According to initial preliminary results for the state of Kentucky - for M. Romney voted 69% of voters, B. Obama - 29%. In Indiana, 59% of voters for M. Romney, 39% - for Barack Obama.
However, it should be noted that, traditionally, these states are considered Republicans and vote for Republican candidates.
