Baku-APA. Argentina’s Military Police ( MP) Thursday seized more than half a ton of cocaine in Pergamino, in Buenos Aires province, 230 kilometers from the capital city of Buenos Aires, an MP spokesman said, APA reports quoting XInhua.
MP officers "intercepted a refrigerated van heading towards Buenos Aires" via national Highway 8, said the spokesman.
The van was stopped at an MP checkpoint, where trained dogs detected the cache buried under a false bottom, and inside the lateral bodywork of the vehicle.
The agents confiscated a total of 800 vaccum-packed bricks of cocaine weighing a little over half a ton, said the spokesmen, adding the van driver was arrested.
