Suspect killed during bank robbery in California, U.S.

Baku-APA. An alleged robber was shot dead in shootouts during a bank robbery on Wednesday in the U.S. state of California, local media reported, APA reports quoting Xinhua.

The incident happened at around 9:15 a.m. local time outside a Wells Fargo Bank in Pinole, a city located about 30 kilometers northeast of San Francisco, local ABC 7 television station said in a report.

The attempted robbery unfolded when two men tried to approach an armored vehicle, according to another report by the San Francisco Chronicle newspaper.

During an exchange of gunfire, a suspect was fatally shot, another suspect, a police officer and a security guard inside the armored vehicle were wounded.

All three injured are expected to survive, police said.
