Baku-APA. A Venezuelan flight with 95 passengers was on Tuesday forced to return to the airport of Maiquetia, north of the capital Caracas and made an emergency landing shortly after take-off, transportation authorities said, APA reports quoting Xinhua.

Venezuelan Ministry of Transportation and Communication said the flight, a DC9 aircraft from the local Laser airline, declared a state of emergency because of "electrical problems" in the cabin when the plane was traveling at an altitude of just over 6,000 meters.

The aircraft, which was heading for El Vigia airport in Venezuela’s western state of Merida, returned to the airport at 0705 local time (1135 GMT), half an hour after its departure from Maiquetia.

Venezuelan authorities said the plane landed without any problems and all passengers were transferred to another aircraft that belongs to the same airline. No further details were immediately available.
