Tourist flow from Azerbaijan abroad decreased by 3%

In January–July of this year, the total number of Azerbaijani citizens who traveled abroad was 1,188.9 thousand, the State Statistical Committee told APA-Economics.

According to the information, this is 2.8 percent less compared to the same period last year.

The number of Azerbaijani citizens traveling to Iran increased by 0.8 percent, to Georgia by 25.9 percent, while those traveling to Türkiye decreased by 4.2 percent, and to the Russian Federation by 28.5 percent. Among Azerbaijani citizens, 40.6 percent traveled to Türkiye, 15.7 percent to the Russian Federation, 11.2 percent to Georgia, 8.9 percent to Iran, and 23.6 percent to other countries. Of those who traveled, 64.7 percent were men and 35.3 percent were women.

In January–July, 69.8 percent of Azerbaijani citizens traveling abroad used air transport, 28.2 percent used railway and road transport, and 2.0 percent used sea transport.
