Tourism ministers of ECO member states to meet in Shusha

A meeting of tourism ministers of the member states of the Economic Cooperation Organization will be held in Shusha on April 29, Secretary General of the organization Asad Majeed Khan, who is participating in the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, told APA’s Türkiye bureau.

According to him, a ceremonial event will be held regarding the declaration of Shusha as the “tourism capital of the Economic Cooperation Organization” for 2026, and a number of events planned by Azerbaijan to promote Shusha as a tourism capital will be presented.

“Our activities in this direction continue. In this regard, I would like to thank the Government of Azerbaijan for agreeing to host the meeting of tourism ministers in Shusha on April 29. Holding this meeting at such a challenging time is an indication of Azerbaijan’s commitment to the organization’s activities. It also reflects the importance attached to the development of tourism and the desire to strengthen integration among regional countries in the tourism sector. I am looking forward to participating in this meeting,” the Secretary General emphasized.
