The opening ceremony of the official representation of the Azerbaijan Tourism Bureau was held in Moscow, the capital of the Russian Federation, APA's Moscow correspondent reports.
According to the report, the event was attended by Chairman of the State Tourism Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan Fuad Nagiyev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to the Russian Federation Rahman Mustafayev, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Dmitri Vakhrukov, and Deputy Director of the Department of Foreign Economic and International Relations of the Moscow City Government Vyacheslav Manuylov, and other state officials, founder of "Agalarov Development" company, well-known businessman Emin Agalarov, as well as representatives of the tourism industry of Russia and Azerbaijan.
Within the framework of the event, views were also exchanged on the prospects of future cooperation in the field of tourism between the two states.
It should be noted that the main goal of opening a tourism representative office is to strengthen cooperation with the Russian tourism industry, to promote Azerbaijan's tourism potential and products, as well as to expand information and advertising activities on the Russian market.
In January-September 2024, the number of people who visited Azerbaijan from Russia was 564,008, which is an 18% increase in comparison with the corresponding period of last year.
