Number of European tourists visiting Azerbaijan surged by 7.3%

In January 2025, 172.6 thousand foreigners and non-citizen persons from 152 countries of the world, or 4.1 percent more in comparison with the same period of the previous year, arrived in the Republic of Azerbaijan, APA-Economics reports citing Azerbaijan's State Statistics Committee.

Compared to January 2024, the number of arrivals from European Union member states increased by 7.3 percent to 5.1 thousand people, the number of arrivals from Gulf countries decreased by 5.4 percent to 33.2 thousand people, the number of arrivals from CIS countries decreased by 4.8 percent to 58.4 thousand people, and the number of arrivals from other countries increased by 17.3 percent to 75.9 thousand people.
