In January of this year, the total number of Azerbaijani citizens traveling to foreign countries decreased by 1.4% compared to January last year, amounting to 151,900 people, Apa-Economics reports, citing the State Statistical Committee.
35.8% of citizens traveled to Türkiye (down 2% compared to January last year), 15.8% to Russia (up 1.5%), 12.3% to Iran (up 13.3%), 9.8% to Georgia (down 17.6%), and 26.3% to other countries (down 1.1%).
Of those who traveled abroad, 66.3% were men and 33.7% were women.
During the reporting month, 69% of Azerbaijani citizens traveling abroad used air transport, 29.5% used rail and road transport, and 1.5% traveled by sea.
