On January 15, the Chairman of the State Tourism Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan Faud Naghiev, and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Azerbaijan Essam bin Saleh Al-Jutaili discussed the increasing number of mutual tourist visits, expanding the tourist connections and prospects of cooperation between two countries, the State Tourism Agency of Azerbaijan told APA.
The sides discussed the visa simplification procedure for the citizens of Azerbaijan.
Mr Naghiev stated a series of marketing events will be organized in Saudi Arabia in 2024.
Fuad Naghiev also met with the newly appointed Ambassador Jordan to Azerbaijan Omar Barakat Al Nahar. During the meeting discussions of the issues of implementation of the mutual promotions and opening of direct flights were made.
The chairman of the agency also held a meeting with the Tajik Ambassador Tajikistan Ilhom Abdurahmon. They exchanged views on conducting works in the direction of increasing the number of existing flights between the two countries and improving the mutual connections in the field of tourism.
