China Visitors Summit opens new opportunities for Azerbaijani tourism, said Alexander Glos, CEO of “China i2i Group”, at the “China Visitors Summit” held in Baku, APA-Economics reports.

Alexander Glos said that 51 tourism companies from China participated in this year’s summit and a wide opportunity was created for face-to-face meetings with tourism suppliers representing different regions of Azerbaijan. He noted that CVS is not only a platform for establishing business relationships, but also plays the role of a “classroom” for understanding the Chinese tourism market.

According to him, China is today one of the largest outbound tourism markets in the world: more than 200 million Chinese citizens already have foreign passports, and their annual global tourism spending exceeds $200 billion. Glos emphasized that it is possible to find a suitable tourist flow from the Chinese market for any tourism service or hotel.
