First tourist library to be opened in Azerbaijan

Baku. Kamala Guliyeva–APA. “A new library serving the tourists arrived in Baku will be opened in the near future on the basis of Anvar Mammadkhanli library”, Chief of the Baku City Culture and Tourism Office Alikram Aliyev told APA. Ministry of Culture and Tourism passed a decision to create Baku Center of Information, Library and Tourism, said Aliyev. “Many tourists visit Azerbaijan every year, but there is no library for them. Baku Center of Information, Library and Tourism will resolve this problem”. Alikram Aliyev said they already started to collect books in foreign languages. “The library will collect the books in all languages of the world and it will have no analogue in Azerbaijan”.
The chief of the Office noted that there are 85 libraries in Baku now and poor libraries will be closed soon. He said all libraries in the districts of Baku would be provided with information centers in the next years. This year the information centers will be inaugurated in four large libraries of the capital.
