Aydin Ismiyev: â€œPrice rise of tourist visits to abroad will cause development of domestic tourism in Azerbaijanâ€

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-Economics. Price rise of rest in foreign countries will cause development of domestic tourism in Azerbaijan, department chief of Ministry of Culture and Tourism Aydin Ismiyev told APA.

To him, strained political situation in several Arabic countries cause price rise in tourism services of most states: â€œAt the same time, increase of duties at the airports and petrol price rise are also observed. Such situation makes Azerbaijani citizens to rest inside the country. And it will stimulate development of domestic tourism sphere of the countryâ€.

Ismiyev said that in 2010, 60-70 000 people went from Azerbaijan to foreign countries for rest. 200 000 citizens had a rest in Azerbaijani regions: â€œI hope that this indicator will increase this year moreâ€.

Note that, tourists prefer to rest in Turkey because of unrests took place in Egypt. And it caused price rise of rest in Turkey.
