Georgia calls Azerbaijani businessmen to invest in tourism sector

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. Official Tbilisi calls Azerbaijani businessmen to invest in Georgian tourism sphere, First Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Archil Kekelia told APA. He said that Azerbaijan was main investors of Georgia and cooperation had been established between the two countries in several spheres: “We invite potential investors from Azerbaijan to invest in Georgia economy and tourism sphere”.

Speaking about establishment of free tourism zones in Georgia, deputy minister said that currently, two analogical zones had been created in the country: “Here area and communal services are offered to investors freely. At the same time, that investor is free from taxes 15 years after the construction of any tourism object. Contracts have been signed with several foreign investors and concrete projects are being discussed”.

Moreover, Kekelia noted that in general Georgia is intending to extend geography of analogical free tourism zones.
