2 mln tourists come to Georgia this year

Tbilisi. Nizami Mammadzadeh â€“ APA. â€œ2 054 382 tourists have come to Georgia this year. We expect this number to increase next yearâ€, said Head of the National Center of Tourism Maia Sidamonidze, APAâ€™s Georgia bureau reports.

According to her, most of tourists came to Georgia from Azerbaijan, Turkey and Armenia. The tourist flow was mostly in Tbilisi and Batumi, then Mskheti, Kazbek, Gori, Bakuriani, Gudauri and Telavi. The tourists who rested in Adjara amounted 926 010.

Sidamonidze noted that the next year tourist flow in Georgia will amount 3 mln. The agency will carry out new projects for developing the tourism.
