Azerbaijan Day celebrated within framework of EXPO-2010 World Universal Exhibition in Shanghai - <font color=red>PHOTO</font>

Baku. Lachin Sultanova â€“ APA. Azerbaijan Day was celebrated within the framework of EXPO-2010 World Universal Exhibition in Shanghai.

According to APA, citing to CRI online site Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister Abid Sharofov and Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Protection Wang Xiaochu attended the opening of Azerbaijan Day.

A. Sharifov noted that the exhibition under the motto â€œBeauty of city means beauty of lifeâ€ was important for demonstration of achievements of national economies and future development of the different countries and helps to the international societies to solve the several problems.

According to Wang Xiaochu this exhibition will develop the relations between Azerbaijan and China.

The main subject of Azerbaijan pavilion is called as the intersection place of East with West. Total area of pavilion is 324 mÂ². Azerbaijanâ€™s historical heritage and ancient culture are demonstrated in the pavilion.

Director of pavilion Nazim Tatliev noted that the pavilion was watched by 2.5 mln audiences.

Natig rhythm group, Azerbaijan State Symphony Orchestra and State Dance Ensemble performed in the opening ceremony.
