Baku - APA-Economics. Sweden’s new hotel is a lofty venture. The rooms are all up in trees. The Treehotel will open on July 17th. It features 6 themed rooms that are accessed by rope ladders and rope bridges. Treehouses are becoming more popular as an off-beat lodging choice, Examiner.com reported.

Black Book reports, "The hotel will have only six rooms, four of which will open in July, two come October. The rooms are intriguingly named: the Cabin, the Blue Cone, the Nest, the Mirrorcube, the UFO, and A Room with a View. The Mirrorcube looks to be the most interesting; it’s attached to a single tree with walls made of w mirrored glass. It will be just four meters high and four meters wide, with the mirrored walls reflecting the surrounding trees and sky. A special film will be applied to the glass walls to make it visible to birds and keep them from flying into it and dying.

Huliq says "Each rental unit will be 50-100 square feet, be 13-19 feet above the ground, and be built around one or more pine trees, and each will contain separate sleeping and living areas, an eco-friendly incineration based toilet, and a water efficient sink. Of the initial six rooms, four will be double rooms and two will house four beds. Each of the rooms will contain an electric floor heating system that will provide extra warmth. Themes include the Cabin, Mirror House, UFO, Marge uppe bland trädkronorna, Triangle, and the Birds Nest. Access to each unit will be either via a ramp or sturdy stairs with 2 units having electric retractable stairs."

Located just 32 miles south of the Arctic Circle, and guests can expect views of the northern lights along with plenty of natural forest. Sweden’s Treehotel isn’t the first hotel to take lodging out on a limb. Tourists can decide whether or not it’s for the birds.
