AITF 2010 tourism exhibition to take place this year
This year, the exhibition will be held in two pavilions. Over 100 companies are expected to participate. To date, 80% of the exhibition space has been booked. Based on this fact, and the number of companies that have confirmed their participation in AITF 2010, we are predicting growth of 20% against last year. AITF 2010 will feature the following destinations: Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, France, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, China, Cyprus, Slovenia, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Vietnam, Cambodia and Singapore. National stands, one of the main attractions of any travel exhibition, will feature prominently at AITF 2010. Turkey, Greece, Cyprus, Malaysia, Tunisia, UAE, Mauritius, India, Czech Republic and Georgia will demonstrate the travel opportunities of their countries. Exotic destinations, under the title “Paradise islandsâ€, will be presented by companies from Malaysia, Mauritius, Thailand, the Seychelles and the Maldives. A delegation from Stavropol Region, headed by the governor, will make an official visit to AITF 2010. The famous resort towns of Stavropol Region - Essentuki, Zheleznovodsk, Kislovodsk, Mineralnye Vody and Pyatigorsk – will present a
comprehensive range of spa treatments to visitors.
For the first time, AITF will feature an ‘Azerbaijan Regional Tourism’ sector. The entire pavilion will be devoted to holiday destinations, resorts and hotels in Azerbaijan. Visitors will be able to get a flavour of each region, and learn about the rich folklore, cuisine and traditions of the Azeri people.
The prospects for the development of the hospitality sector in Azerbaijan are excellent. AITF is the only tourism industry event in the region. It is an ideal opportunity for tour operators to demonstrate their business potential, establish effective relationships and strengthen the image of their company in the local and international markets, so that it stands out among the many competitors in the local market. The slogan of the exhibition this year is “Visit the exhibition – discover the worldâ€, and it certainly promises to be an international festival of tourism.
