Baku. Ulkar Gasimova – APA. Preparations have begun for the construction of tourism complexes in Khizi and Devechi, Culture and Tourism Minister Abulfas Garayev said, APA reports. The Minister said negotiations were being carried out with investors from Kuwait and Czech Republic.
“Only tourism facilities will be constructed these and the work has already begun. Simply, it requires much funds and it is difficult to get it,” he said.
Garayev said beginning from 2010 more attention will be paid to the license of hotels in Azerbaijan.
“The main problem in the local hotels is the lack of personnel. As from next year we will grant license taking into account the number of the employees. If we are not satisfied with the personnel of hotels, those hotels will be closed. We inform the Ministry of Taxes about the activity of hotels. We cannot lock any hotel. A hotel may be closed only after the decision of the Ministry of Taxes”.
