Azerbaijan Ministry of Culture and Tourism sign a deal with Russia’s “Vokrug Sveta” edition

Moscow. R. Metleboglu – APA. On Wednesday, Azerbaijan Minister of Culture and Tourism Abulfas Garayev and Executive Director of Russia’s “Vokrug Sveta” edition Leonid Naumov have signed an agreement at the Azerbaijan’s embassy in Moscow to issue guide book “Azerbaijan”. Minister Garayev said the agreement would allow extension of audience which would receive information about Azerbaijan. He said the project would increase the number of tourists traveled to Azerbaijan and would increase the interest to the potential of modern Azerbaijan.

Leonid Naumov told APA correspondent in Moscow that it will be first Russian guide book about Azerbaijan. He said the book would be on sale for two days beginning from October 2009. Then the guide book will be updated. Naumov said they would place information about the guide book on “Vokrug Sveta”s website, which has 28 000 daily visitors. “I never visited Azerbaijan, but when I read this guide book I will certainly do that”. The book will be issued in 5 000 copies, which costs 432 000 rubles.
