Baku hosts international conference “Development perspectives of ecotourism in Azerbaijanâ€

Baku. Ulkar Gasimova – APA. International conference “Development perspectives of ecotourism in Azerbaijan†was held in Baku initiated by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and Azerbaijan Tourism Institute (ATI). APA reports that ATI rector Jafar Jafarov noted that the conference aimed to providing detailed information about ecotourism and development perspectives in this direction, factors influencing on ecotourism in Azerbaijan, investigation of existing problems and other issues of primary significance.
Azerbaijani Minister of Culture and Tourism Abulfas Garayev spoke about the progresses achieved in tourism sector in Azerbaijan over the last couple of years and gave all-round information about the tourism opportunities in the country.
“Ecotourism in modern worldâ€, “Seven wonders of Azerbaijanâ€, “National monuments of Azerbaijanâ€, “Hunting in Azerbaijanâ€, “Water tourism in Azerbaijanâ€, “Eco-security in application of Caspian oil technologyâ€, “Superiorities of Alternative energy†and other subjects were in the focus of attention at the conference.
Representatives of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Education Ministry, Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources and Baku Office of Culture and Tourism, Ministry of Communication and Information Technologies, Ministry of Youth and Sport, State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic, ambassadors, MPs, tourism agencies, hotels, international and local organizations and media representatives participated at the event.
