"In solving the problems of refugees and internally displaced persons Azerbaijan sets an example to the world", UN Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan Gulam Ishaqzai said at the event entitled "A Day with IDPs: leaving no one behind" in Shikharkh settlement of Tartar region.
According to him, the visit of representatives of the organization represented by the region reflects the attention of refugees and internally displaced persons: "Transfer of refugees and internally displaced persons from tent camps to new and comfortable apartments, the government's activity in this area is highly appreciated by international organizations."
Mr Ishaqzai stressed that international organizations will continue supporting the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and taking necessary measures to return refugees and internally displaced persons to their homelands.
