“Heads of Russian Armenians on the back of my arrest and deportation,” said journalist Fuad Abbasov at a press conference today, APA reports.
According to him, his lawyer had appealed to the relevant court in Russia regarding violations of his rights: "Moreover, I do not intend to return to Russia, even if the ban is removed."
Abbasov also said he would appeal to the European Court of Human Rights.
Note that on May 16, Khimki police detained Fuad Abbasov for violating immigration laws. Abbasov was placed in a temporary detention center for foreign citizens in the city of Korolev, Moscow Region. On May 17, the court made a decision on his deportation from the Russian Federation.
