"The Armenian delegation has not commented on the handin over the body of Armenian-descended Agasyan Vera Varashakovna", said the Deputy Head of the State Security Service, General-Lieutenant Sharafat Hasanov, during the presentation of the "Assessment Report: Accounting for Missing Persons in the Republic of Azerbaijan" by the International Commission on Missing Persons (ICMP), organized by the State Commission for Prisoners of War, Hostages, and Missing Persons, APA reports.
"Although, the Armenian side and her children were informed about Armenian descent Agasyan Vera Varashakovna, born in 1954 being passed away on 20.10.2024, at her residence in the city of Khankandi due to illness via the International Committee of the Red Cross, all necessary documentation for the transfer of the body was prepared, and even during a meeting held at the border in February of this year without the participation of mediators, the issue was directly brought to the attention of the Armenian delegation, the other side has not responded to the transfer of the body for nearly 5 months", he said.
