“Over 60,000 young families need house and social mortgage lending program will solve this problem,� Youth and Sport Minister, Azad Rahimov, said, the APA reports.
He said additional finances will be allocated for mortgage lending if there is high demand in 2007 and the Cabinet will approve an investment program to resolve the financing problems. He said not only the married but also single young people can take a mortgage while the married are preferred.
The maximum amount of the social (preferential) mortgage is AZN 35,000, maximum term is 30 years and maximum interest rate is 4% annually. /APA/
