As of December 1, the number of economically active population reached 3 965 700, of which 33.4% are the hirelings.
State Statistical Committee told APA that 20.7% of the hirelings were employed at production industry, including 13% at industry, 4.6% in construction, 2.8% in agriculture, foresting, hunting and fishing.
25.8% of the non-production workers were employed at the sphere of education, 19.7% at retail and wholesale, repair of autos, household things, 10.4% in healthcare and social services, 6.9% in transport, store and communications, 6.1% in communal, social and personal services, 4.7% in real estate operations and 4% in public administration and defence.
As of December 54 146 people were registered as the unemployed, of which 51.2% are women. There are four unemployed people per job. /APA/
