Cases of whooping cough, brucellosis and respiratory tuberculosis increased in Azerbaijan

Most of the diseases recorded in the country are respiratory, infectious, parasitic, digestive diseases and blood circulation disorders.

According to the reports of the Health Ministry, in January-November, 2011, compared to the reporting period of 2010, the cases of epidemic parotitis reduced by 19 percent, viral hepatitis by 35 percent, pediculosis by 40 percent, the itch by 6 percent, cases of diphtheria, measles, inherent German measles and tetanus in newborns were recorded. The cases of whooping cough, syphilis, scarlet fever, brucellosis and respiratory tuberculosis increased.
