Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. As of January 1, 2012, the number of economically active population made 4,626.1 thousand in Azerbaijan.
The State Statistical Committee says number of hired workers during January-November, 2011 was 1,366.9 thousand, including 851.9 thousand in state sector of economy and 508.2 thousand – in non-state sector of economy.
Besides, 36.4 thousand worked in oil sector, 1,323.7 thousand in non-oil sector. Number of hired workers engaged in non-agricultural sphere made 1,320.3 thousand.
