Azerbaijani astronomers comment on reports about Judgment Day in 2012

Shamakhy Astrophysical Observatory named after Nasiraddin Tusi of the Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences commented on the reports that a judgment day will occur in 2012. Chief of Sun and Sun-Earth department of the Shamakhy Astrophysical Observatory told APA that the astronomers precisely researched what would occur in 2012: â€œThe question is that 3 planes will match in the middle and end of December. Our galaxy is shaped like a plate. It has a plane. The solar system also has its own plane. This plane is parallel to the Sunâ€™s equator. The Earth also has its equator. Consequently, the Earthâ€™s equator, the Sunâ€™s equator and the galaxyâ€™s plane will be parallel to each other. The Solar system and Earth will be exposed to the strong energy from the galaxy. The ebbs and flows from the galaxy can cause alarms, quakes, whirlpools, volcanoes. Nobody can say exactly how much will be the force of this process and will this process be enough for occurrence of these incidents?â€

Jalilov said that this incident occurs periodically: â€œI donâ€™t believe that this incident will annihilate life on the Earth. When all three planes are parallel to each other, it directly influences the Earthâ€™s equator. But this force will not be so strong to influence the life on the Earthâ€.
