University admission plan under public contract fulfilled by 91,77 percent

According to APA, chairwoman of the State Commission Maleyka Abbaszadeh said the universities planned to enroll 31 419 students this year.

54 places were taken by the applicants participated in non-competitive examinations. Other 21 223 places were allocated for the Azerbaijani sector, 2615 places for the Russian sector. 7527 places were considered for the joint competition of both sectors. 26 384 places considered by the admission plan were in the public, 5035 in the private universities. 10 516 places were allocated for the public contract.

86,96 percent of the applicants selected for the participation in the contest were the students of Azerbaijanis sector, 13,04 percent were from the Russians sector. â€œExcept the joint competition, 89,03 percent of the places were allocated for the Azerbaijani, 10,97 percent for the Russian sector. 9601 applicants were enrolled for 10 462 places allocated for public contract and so 91,77 percent of the plan was fulfilledâ€.
