Azerbaijani President: Ongoing health reforms are highly appreciated not only in Azerbaijan but also in the world

The head of the State noted that both in regions and Baku are updating, strengthening entire medical infrastructure, material and technical base, building new hospitals, is providing with equipment. â€œThe installed equipments in hospitals Azerbaijan is not inferior to the equipment of leading clinics around the world. Professionalism of people working with this equipment must be upgraded", - he said.

â€Azerbaijani doctors must improve their knowledge. Should be strengthened international ties. It is important to invite specialists from the leading hospitals in abroad to lecture at the Azerbaijan State Doctors Improvement Institute. As far as I know, this process has already begun. We need to make sure that Azerbaijani doctors worked in accordance with already established modern facilities. We should be able to work with new equipment in the new environment, innovation know medicine. Patients should be provided excellent servicesâ€, - President said.

According to the President, the Institute plays an important role in deepening reforms in Azerbaijan in the field of health. By improving their skills here, the doctors returned to their native hospitals are more successful and more professional.

We need to make sure that they are even better. Therefore, correct diagnosis, regular surveys of people - all of these questions are very important. We must do everything possible to treat and cure peopleâ€, - he said.

Ilham Aliyev emphasized that the state keeps these issues in the spotlight. â€œHealth expenditure grow every year. Although, I must admit that they are not at the level that we would like, and should further increase. For this indicator, Azerbaijan still lags behind developed countries. But gradually we eliminate this backlog. With the growth of our financial and material resources, of course, in the health sector will invest even more investment. But if you make a comparison, we see that over the past few years, the funds allocated to health, have grown dramatically. The main thing is that these funds are used efficiently. To strengthen the infrastructure and physical infrastructure, services and professionalism at an appropriate level. As for the art equipment, we will continue to deliver in the most modern instruments of Azerbaijan", - Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev noted.
