Permanent Mission of Azerbaijan to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Geneva told AzerTAc that INSARAG membership allows Azerbaijan to establish mutual relations between the international rescue teams and the country’s relevant rescue teams during the disasters, participate in the annual meetings and regional trainings of the Group, to join UN mechanisms concerning emergency situations, get access to the means of information of the Group, study INSARAG rules, share skills.

Established in 1991, the International Search and Rescue Advisory Group (INSARAG) is a network of disaster-prone and disaster-responding countries and organizations dedicated to urban search and rescue (USAR) and operational field coordination. It is a UN Organization that promotes the exchange of information between national Urban Search and Rescue Organizations.
