Baku State University to have multi-storey student hostel

These are rumors only. We are taking successful steps towards the restoration of student hostel system of the university in accordance with the presidentâ€™s orderâ€, rector of the Baku State University Abel Maharramov told journalists.

â€œThe universityâ€™s student hostels were settled by the refugees and IDPs. Despite that Baku State University was 608th among the 20 000 universities of the world. If our university has student hostels, which place it will take? I believe it will be among 500 top universitiesâ€, Maharramov said.

The rector said this work started in accordance with the presidentâ€™s order would raise the universityâ€™s ranking. â€œThe refugees and IDPs settled in the universityâ€™s student hostels will move to the new settlement built for them in Masazirâ€.

Maharramov said the student would be replaced with new one. It will be multi-storey building.
