President has allotted time to take necessary measures for giving the status of civil servant to the education employees. This time is about to end. The Cabinet of Ministers will probably report to the President soon,” rector of Baku State University, MP Abel Maharramov said, APA reports.

Noting that there is great attention to science and education employees in Azerbaijan, Abel Maharramov said during the discussions on age limit at the parliament, President freed the employees of higher schools and National Academy of Sciences from the age limit.
“It was appreciated by the employees of the higher schools. There are 1500 doctors of science and professors in Georgia, 1800 in Azerbaijan, 1200 in Armenia. If the age limit had been applied to the scientists, the number of the doctors of sciences would have reduced by 900 in Azerbaijan. Therefore, I think Azerbaijani President took a benevolent step. Azerbaijani intellectuals, especially the old highly appreciate it,” he said.
