Youth City to be declared in Azerbaijan

The State Program for Azerbaijani Youth in 2011-2015 will be implemented more rapidly and usefully beginning from January, 2012 that every young person can see the results of this program, department head of the Presidential Administration Elnur Aslanov told journalists, APA reports.

He said they were working on different articles of the youth program. â€œWe have elaborated a proposal to establish Azerbaijani Youth Fund and this proposal will be submitted to the President in the near future. Head of State has already given instruction to establish International Youth Center. The work on the realization of other articles of the program has been already completed. Some technical preparations are demanded for the full implementation of these articlesâ€.

Aslanov said one of the articles considered declaring some cities and regions as the youth cities. â€œWe will attach special attention to the youth problems in those regions. One of the Azerbaijani cities will be declared as Youth City in the near future. I will not name that region now, but the work is going on. For the first time in Azerbaijan, an environmental youth camp will be established in November on the initiative of Leyla Aliyeva. This is one of good examples of the attention given to Azerbaijani youthâ€.
