Date of holding of accreditation of education establishments made public in Azerbaijan

Head of the Education Ministryâ€™s Accreditation Department Habib Zarbaliyev told APA that this process will be carried on starting with new education year in accordance with composed schedule. Zarbaliyev said that the accreditation process will start in October, it will continue till May.

Initially, this process will cover 11 pilot schools. he pilot schools are the school No 27 of Gandja City, No 16 of Shirvan city, No 225 of Baku City, Gymnasium of Natural Sciences in Sumgayit, school No 64 in Baku, No 10 in Mingachevir, No 1 in Aghdash, No 4 and 6 in Lankaran, No 3 in Sheki, No 2 in Guba.

The higher education establishments which will be accredited are as follows: â€œAzerbaijan Agrarian University, Azerbaijani Academy of Labor and social relations, Azerbaijani Academy of Sports and Physical Training, State Management Academy under President of Azerbaijan, Azerbaijani University of Tourism, Azerbaijani National Aviation Academy, Azerbaijan State Maritime Academy, Baku State University.â€

Zarbaliyev also said that the accreditation of these educational establishments is held once in 5 years (the accreditation of educational establishments founded by foreigners and stateless persons, foreign legal bodies â€“ once in three years). The department chief said that 10 higher education establishments, 10 secondary specialized schools, 8 â€¦.. were accredited in 2010-2011.

The activity of 2 higher education establishments â€“ Nakhchivan State Institute of Teachers and Baku Eurasia University were prolonged to 5 years during the accreditation held last year.
