40% of plastic surgeries falls on share of men in Azerbaijan
According to her words, most the persons apply for plastic surgery are women, but recently, number of men who want to change the appearance soared. That is, while in 2005-2006, 80% of majority of those who applied for plastic surgery are women, 20% - men, currently, 40% who want to change the appearance are men.
Most of the men (80%) apply for nose surgery. But there are men who apply in relation to over obesity, wrinkles occurred face. In general, the specialists say that nose surgeries are very famous in the Caucasus, they explain it with traditional facial structure of the people living here.
Tabrizli said that the growth in number of men applying for plastic surgery is connected with increase of information in this sphere, as well as elimination of psychological barriers among men: “Nowadays, nobody shames to change his/her facial structureâ€.
60% of women who apply for plastic surgery want to change face, 405 – different parts of her body. Most of the operations carried out in face of women are related to nose correction. The majority of women try to imitate Hollywood actresses: “Mostly, they want to resemble Angelina Jolie. They order nose, lips, cheek bones like herâ€. Besides, the most famous plastic surgeries among women are – correction of lower-upper eyelids, removing of wrinkles on the face, ear surgery, removing of wrinkles on the neck.
80% of surgeries on changing of other parts of body are connected with aggrandizement of mammary glands. Moreover, abdominal obesity, elimination of foot curvature and etc are famous too.
Most of the patients who order plastic surgery are above 18. But persons who have defects, are operated under 18 as well. The congenital defects are operated in early childhood: “Some defects must be eliminated when the child is 5-6 months oldâ€.
Some people want to completely change the appearance, but it is not possible. “There is also a side clearance of plastic surgery. Altering the appearance issue a certificate, some have changed documents, photos on them. There are patients who leave the country. So they have to change your passport, as their appearance has changed significantlyâ€.
