He noted that AIDS is widely spread in the Eastern Europe and 20 percent of infected people undergo treatment. He said it needs to spend 6 billion dollars to prevent and to treat this disease in the world. The program manager said that if the preventive measures were used this sum could be reduced for 4-5 times. He said 50 percent of the infected people in Europe are undergoing treatment.

Donoghoe said during the 61st session of the WHO Regional Committee for Europe in Baku, they would submit the action plan for the prevention of increase of HIV infection in Europe to member countries.
