Report of Republic Seismological Service Center on landslide in Bayil hillside to be presented to Cabinet of Ministers

Baku. Kamala Guliyeva – APA. The report of the Republic Seismological Service Center (RSCC) on the landslide in Bayil hillside will be ready tomorrow, he RSCC Director, member of the emergency commission established for the prevention of landslide in Bayil hillside Gurban Yetirmishli told APA. According to him, the landslide process was researched via seismological and geophysical methods. The mobile seismic stations were set in the territory and the geological features of grounds till 50m depth were studied several days ago for the purpose of the process’s monitoring.

The Center’s director said that the developed report will be presented to the Cabinet of Ministers: “The reports of other government organizations together with the Republic Seismological Service Center will be presented to the Cabinet of Ministers. The Working Group will pass a final decision basing on these”.

According to Yetirmishli, the recent rainy weather in Baku has not affected the landslide area in Bayil hillside. The situation is stable in the area now: “I visit the area every morning. I have not observed any changing there”.
