Accreditation of comprehensive schools to start in Azerbaijan

The Education Ministry told APA that this stage will cover first of all 11 pilot schools on the basis of the accreditation rules of the educational establishments, the correspondence of the general education establishmentâ€™s activity to the demands of state educational standards and the criteria which determine its status.

The accreditation of higher, specialized secondary and vocational schools is being held in Azerbaijan. The accreditation of these educational establishments is held once in 5 years (the accreditation of educational establishments founded by foreigners and stateless persons, foreign legal bodies â€“ once in three years). The education ministry also develops the accreditation rules of preschool educational establishments.
