Azerbaijani Ministry of Education publicizes terms of employment for teachers attained age of 65

Every school knows how many 65-year-old teachers it employed. The teachers returned from summer holiday and retirement of aged teachers will be in accordance with the legislationâ€, head of the department on strategic analysis, planning and human resources of the Ministry of Education Farzali Gadirov said, APA reports.

He also commented on pension coverage of the retired teachers. â€œThose teachers will receive pensions in accordance with the legislation for the time being, but draft law on giving status of public officer to the teachers was elaborated, but has not been approved yet. After its approval we will bring novelties to the pension coverage of the teachersâ€.

Gadirov said the Ministry of Education has sent all regulatory documents to the schools. â€œThe criterions were determined that if there are no enough human resources to replace the retired teachers, they can extend their contracts one year more if have no health problems. All issues related to the retirement of 65-yar-old teachers will be analyzed. The schools will inform us about the analysis. I think there will be no serious problems. Only remote rural schools can face with problemsâ€.
